National Beta members from Fayetteville Middle School are celebrating their recent participation in the Tennessee Leadership Summit.

The following students were announced as qualifiers of the following challenges: Collaboration Connection and Project Proposal – Shianne Nunley, Stella Lowe, Lily Hoagland, Nora Kate Sumners and Emma Dye.

Shianne Nunley was chosen as a Leadership Representative.  She is one of two who will represent the state of Tennessee at nationals this year.  She will also attend other Leadership summits and speak to other students about what it means to be a leadership representative.

Students selected will collaborate with fellow members, compete in a collaborative project on-site, as well as serve as a representative the following year. These appointed National Representatives will also help facilitate a Leadership Session at the following year’s National Convention.

National Beta Leadership Summits bring together students from multiple states for 1-2 day events. During that time, students work with interactive speakers who engage members through introspective exercises and team-building activities. Clubs can also participate in team-based leadership challenges which test their communication, critical thinking, creativity, presentation, and collaboration skills. Their [victories] at this level provide the opportunity to compete at the national level. National Convention will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville during summer 2023.
