FCS Drama Dept. presents ‘Annie KIDS’

Double the fun for Fayetteville City Schools Drama Department cast of “Annie KIDS.”

The roles of Annie and Miss Hannigan were double cast to give more students the opportunity to take the stage. The cast will take the stage on Tuesday, Sept. 26, and Thursday, Sept. 28, for the community and Friday, Sept. 29, for two school performances.

Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a beloved book and score by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, Annie KIDS features everyone’s favorite little orphan in her very first adventure.  With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Annie KIDS is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are supplied by MTI.www.MTIShows.com

Tickets are on sale at the Ralph Askins School or may be purchased at the door the night of each performance. Tickets are $5.

Jillian Jones and Jordan Sullivan will portray Annie and Miss Hannigan on Tuesday, Sept. 26, and Oliva Small and Kalliana Holden will take the stage as Annie and Miss Hannigan on Thursday, Sept. 28.
