Coach Fitz new Director of Basketball Operations
We are excited to announce that Coach Fitz Hopkins has been named Director of Basketball Operations for Fayetteville City Schools.
Coach Fitz is an accomplished and passionate coach with 10-plus years of experience helping student-athletes and programs realize their most outstanding performance levels in the basketball game.
He was director of Fayetteville City Junior Pro this past year and has served as an assistant coach at Fayetteville High School since 2019. Coach Fitz is a Player Development Coach for 3G Reps, where he helps to develop student-athletes of all ages improve skills on the court.
Prior to joining FHS, Coach Fitz was a graduate assistant and junior varsity assistant coach at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Mo. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Freed-Hardeman University and a master of science in sport management from Missouri Baptist University.
“He’s a great resource and is opening up his wealth of knowledge to all of our programs,” said Eddie Keys, FHS athletic director. “He’s seen basketball from tons of different perspectives, and he wants to help every basketball player in Fayetteville City Schools.”
Coach Fitz said he is excited about this new opportunity.
“I am thankful for Mr. (Bill) Hopkins trusting me with this opportunity and am excited to help take basketball at Fayetteville City Schools to the next level,” he said.
