Dr. Styles new principal at Ralph Askins School

Dr. Janine Wilson, director of the Fayetteville City School System, has announced that Dr. Claudia Styles, currently an assistant principal at Ralph Askins School, will be principal for the next school year at RAS.

“We’re sad to see Dr. Bridgette Jones leave the system, and we wish her the very best in the future,” Dr. Wilson said. “She has been a great principal and a loyal Tiger.

“I’m pleased to announce Dr. Claudia Styles will be the principal at Ralph Askins School for the 2020-2021 school year. Dr. Styles has been a principal before in Alabama and also an assistant principal at Ralph Askins School and has done an outstanding job working with the staff and students.”

“We know that parents and students are anxious to hear plans for the beginning of school, but it is still too early to tell with the daily changes in the COVID-19 virus data,” Dr. Wilson said. “We are monitoring that and should be able to release plans after July 6.

“This plan will probably be a combination of virtual and regular school,” she added. “For those parents reluctant to send their children to school, we will have a plan for you.”
