City school board to hold work session to interview director of schools candidates
The Fayetteville City Schools Board of Education will have a work session on Tuesday, May 19, beginning at 9 a.m., in the Multipurpose Room to interview for the new director of schools. Interviews will be held at 9 a.m., and at 1 p.m. "We will continue to abide by the Governor's Executive Order No. 16, CDC guidelines and the Comptroller's COVID-19 Guidance to protect all participants while providing access to the public," said Jeff Whitmore, chairman of the board. "We will meet in our scheduled location (the Multipurpose Room). The maximum number in the room is 10. There will be eight of the board and the candidate, so that just leaves one more space available. To accommodate the public, we will livestream and video record the interviews for public review. Masks will be required in the room -- no exceptions."
