FHS to stage 'Wizard of Oz'

When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Jaila Reams) and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard (Braden Smith), and en route they meet a Scarecrow (Daniel Driver) that needs a brain, a Tin Man (Brayden Serrano) missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion (Conner Robinson) who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West (DJ Shockley) to earn his help.

The Fayetteville High School cast brings "The Wizard of Oz" to the stage on March 7, 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. The FHS cast is joined by a group of students from Ralph Askins who portray the Munchkins in the Land of Oz.  The production is directed by Tim Hobbs, Fayetteville City School's Drama Director.
