Ms. Michelle Ortego
Hello Everyone and Welcome Back to School!
I am so excited to start this school year in a new school system!
My teaching experience:
I have taught special education at Vinton Middle School in Vinton, Louisiana from 1/1991-12/991, then moved to northern Alabama in 12/1991. Next, I had obtained a job at Blanche School in Taft, Tennessee working as a Special Education Teacher (1-8) for seven years; then as a Fifth Grade teacher for seven years (from 8/1992-5/20060). In 2006, I moved back to Sulphur, Louisiana and taught Middle School Science (Grades 6th-8th) from 1/2007-5/2016, then a Special Education Teacher until 7/6/2021.
I have one son who I love very much and who is my world. We have one cat, Annie, whom we had adopted. She is a spicy mix of love and aggression.
After all these years, I still love teaching and learning.
Thanks for reading! More to come.
