A big "Dill"

A big Dill

Earlier this month, FCS students had the chance to show our cafeteria staff how much they appreciate them for all their hard work. During the school year, they begin arriving around 6a to start things for the day. From serving breakfast, some a second chance breakfast/snack, cleaning up, serving lunch, cleaning up and the FAST afterschool snacks, this crew stays busy preparing everything while keeping things clean.....Oh, we should also mention ALL 3 City Cafe's have earned a 100% on their Health Score as recognized by the state of TN!! And if you ever need to know who a child is, just ask the Cafeteria Staff, they can tell you almost every child's name in the entire school and what they won't eat along with any other details the students enjoy discussing with these wonderful employees. The following  pictures of cards given, snacks and smiles only show a glimpse of the day to day School Nutrition Employee magic :)

Food Allergy Statement

Fayetteville City School cafeterias follow the criteria set forth by the USDA in the Guidelines for Accommodating Children with Special Dietary Needs in the School Nutrition Programs. This publication states that the school has a responsibility to provide a safe, nonallergic meal to a child with a disabling condition. Also caution should be exercised at all times, and foods are not served to children at risk for anaphylactic reactions. Finally, a child may be provided a meal which is equivalent to the meal served to other children but not necessarily the same meal.
