Mrs. Walter’s Rules

1. Respect yourself, school, teachers and others at all times

2. Enter and leave the classroom quietly

3. Do not talk while the teacher is giving instructions

4. Do not talk while “quiet” time music is on

5. Do not speak negatively about your own artwork or a peer’s artwork

6. Keep your hands and feet to yourself

7. Clean up after yourself

8. Have a positive attitude and always try your best

9. Be a good listener

10. Treat others as you would like to be treated

Awards

1. Verbal Praise

2. Student may choose a prize from prize bin

3. Student may put their name in the “mystery prize can” to be drawn from at the end of every 9 weeks.

Consequences

1. Verbal warning

2. Isolation for remainder of class (allowed to finish work on project) Teacher calls parents.

3. Isolation for 2 class periods. (no art making, student will instead write-off for duration of class) Teacher calls parents.

4. Student will be referred to office for further disciplinary actions.

*Students lose 10 points off their daily grade for talking or horse playing during “music time” and their name goes on the break list.

*Students get an automatic 0 for sleeping during class, back talking or disrespecting the teacher in any way.
