Our story this week is a fiction
selection titled Head, Body, Legs. It is a folk tale.
Our spelling words come from this selection. We will have 16 spelling words this week. If the children break the words into syllables
it is much easier to spell. We do work on this in the classroom.
Here is our
list for this week.

eat, leaf,
mean, queen, need,
seek, baby, pony,

nightly.
Math this week is concentrating on
reviewing place value, rounding to the nearest 10
and regrouping in addition.
Several have moved up in
A.R. this week and have begun new stories.
Please encourage your child to choose different types of stories and not
just true books or Scooby Doo etc. You have very
bright children and I appreciate the opportunity to work with them.
Thank you for allowing me
the opportunity to work with your child this year!!
