I.
Classroom rules:
a.
Respect yourself
and others always. No cursing or teasing of any kind will be tolerated
b.
Be in your
assigned seat when the bell rings. Students not in their seat when the bell
rings are considered tardy.
c.
Students are to
remain in their seat, unless given permission by the teacher to be up.
d.
Bring all
materials and books to class. (Pencil, paper, notebook, textbook, etc.)
e.
Follow directions
the first time they are given.
f.
Raise your hand
and wait for permission to speak or ask a question.
g.
All other school
rules are to be obeyed and will be enforced accordingly.
II.
Classroom policy:
a.
The student is
required to keep a notebook that will contain notes, homework, review sheets,
etc.
b.
Any homework
assigned will be taken up the following day and graded by the teacher. Any
class work assigned will be completed during class and taken up at the end of
the period.
c.
Projects may be
assigned on occasion. The student will be given plenty of notice in order to
purchase materials for the project and still have ample time to complete the
assigned project.
d.
Students who miss
class assignments will have three days to complete any missed work. It is the
student’s responsibility to get the missed assignment from the teacher. After three days the grade on any assignment
or test will be recorded as a zero.
III.
Grading policy:
a.
Tests and
Projects will comprise 50% of the student’s grade.
b.
Homework, class
work, quiz average, and notebook grade will make up the other 50%.
IV.
Materials
a.
1-2 inch 3 ring
binder with side pockets (Binder is to be labeled Life Science)
b.
6 tab dividers to
be placed inside notebook
c.
Wide ruled
notebook paper
d.
No. 2 Lead
pencils
