After reading and discussing Chapter 14, you are familiar with Congress and its evolution, terms of office, job qualifications, and the responsibilities of its members. However, what if the laws were different? How would Congress and the public be affected if the following statements were true? For each statement, explain the repercussions of such a condition and give at least three reasons to support your ideas. Use your own paper to write or type your answers.

3. The proportion of ethnic minorities in America is equal to the proportion of ethnic

minorities in Congress.

6. The vice president is the president of both chambers of Congress.

7. The legislative branch consists of one chamber based on one representative from each

state.

8. There is a limit to the amount of terms one can be elected to Congress.
