It is back to school time! The faculty of Ralph Askins School would like to help parents avoid the last minute shopping rush for school supplies.  We look forward to another great year at Ralph Askins!

 

PLEASE LABEL ALL SCHOOL SUPPLIES! 

Pre-kindergarten Supply list

 

Regular size, Clear or Mesh backpack

           (No rolling backpacks are allowed)

Beach towel for rest time (small pillow or stuffed animal is optional)

A change of clothes (in bag and labeled)

 

 

 

 

Kindergarten Supply List

 

Clear or Mesh Backpack (No rolling backpacks are allowed)

Rest Towel (No plastic folding mats, please!)

           (It is VERY important that each of these items be clearly labeled prior to sending                        

             them to school.)

In order to save you time and money, the teachers have purchased and prepared supply kits containing every other supply your child will need throughout the year. The $20.00 fee will go toward these supplies and Weekly Readers this year. We strongly urge all parents to purchase a kit for their child at the Parent Orientation Meeting on Tuesday, July 26.

 

 

 

 

First Grade Supply List

 

Clear or Mesh backpack (no rolling backpacks are allowed)

Two (2) packs of yellow #2 pencils

Eight (8) glue sticks

Two (2) plastic folders with pockets at the bottom

One (1) pair of Friskar scissors

24ct crayons

One (1) small plastic school box (6x9)

One (1) composition notebook

Large pink or white erasers

Two (2) boxes of tissues

Purchase writing paper from the front office. Your child’s teacher will let you know at parent night if they prefer the tablet or loose leaf style.

 

All First Grade students are ask to pay a $20.00 School Fee.

 

 

 

Second Grade Supply List

 

One (1) Clear or Mesh backpack (No rolling backpacks are allowed)

Four (4) Packages of 2nd grade Handwriting paper (to be purchased in front office only)
Two (2) Plastic Folders with Pockets

One (1) Large pack of No. 2 Pencils – No Mechanical Pencils, Please.

Two (2) Large Glue Sticks

One (1) Pair Fiskar (brand) Scissors

One (1) Small 3 hole Pencil Pouch (no boxes please)

Two (2) Boxes of 24 Count Crayons (no boxes larger than 24 Count)

One (1) 3 Ring 1 ½ - 2 inch binder

Third Grade Supply List

 

One (1) Clear or Mesh backpack (No rolling backpacks allowed)

One (1) pack of wide-ruled notebook paper

Four (4) plastic folders with pockets and prongs – Please get one of each color: red, yellow, blue, and green

One (1) pack of 3 x 5 index cards

One (1) pack of pencils (mechanical or regular No. 2 lead)

One (1) double pack of Pink Pearl erasers

One (1) 24 count box of crayons or One pack of colored pencils

One (1) pack of cursive writing paper to be purchased in our front office, Please.

 

All Third Grade students are ask to pay a $20.00 School Fee.

 

 

***Please wait to purchase school supplies until after the 3rd grade parent orientation night on July 25, 2011 at 5:30 P.M. Your child’s teacher may have specifications and/or changes to the above list.

 

***Keep in mind the tax-free shopping dates August 5th – 7th. We want you to be able to take advantage of that opportunity.
