Principal’s Statement

Welcome to Fayetteville Middle School - home of the Tigers.  We are very proud that you have chosen our school.  Our staff is committed to providing the very best learning environment for every child.  A team effort among students, F.M.S. staff, parents, community, and business partnerships are utilized to accomplish our task of successfully educating each individual child.

This school initially opened in 1997 with 5th and 6th grade classes, expanded in 2000 to include 4th grade, and now in 2011, we are progressing to a middle school format.  FMS has consistently maintained an “A” in each category of the TCAP Criterion Referenced Academic Achievement testing data.  We are constantly striving to maintain our high academic standards.

I hope you find this website useful and an easy means to gather information about our school and activities.  It is a very useful tool to maximize communication opportunities between the school, parents, and community. We all need to work together to ensure that we meet the academic, physical, and emotional needs of our students and with your assistance and support we will accomplish this goal.  Please feel free to come by or call if you have any questions.  Thank you for the opportunity to be involved in the process of educating your child.

Sincerely,

Steven C. Giffin
