From the Coach:

                Practice time is finally here. I wanted to take some time to update you on the progress of both teams.  The Tiger Middle school team has now begun their practice routine. Myself and the other coaches are extremely pleased with how the practices are going.  We are trying some new things that we feel benefit our team and make for a more efficient practice. The main goal of this years team will be continous improvement and developing fundamental play. The High School team is currently still the open facilities part of their season. Soon they will begin their practice routine in February. They have already made tremendous gains during the summer and fall and we expect great things from them this spring.  So that we may acheive the most out of our practice and limit distractions for the kids we ask that parents keep their during practice.  We have just a short amount of time to get the kids ready for the season and minute is crucial to reaching our team goals. If you like to speak with me I would be glad to do that after practice. Thank you for your cooperation and Go Tigers!

 Current News:

1. All players must have a physical dated after April 15, 2012 in order to be eligible for the upcoming 2013 season.  Returning players will not need to obtain a new physical to be eligible to tryout, however they will need to obtain a physical before participating in summer league games and camps.  Any new player who was not on the team last year will need to get a current physical to Coach McCormick before they will be allowed to try out.

2.Tryouts will be held on Saturday May 26 at the Don Davidson Complex on the Babe Ruth Field and at the Fayetteville High School Batting Cage (located on the track behind the school).  Tryouts will be closed to parents and spectators and players may be picked up at 11:30 from Session 1 and at 3:30 from Session 2.

                                        Session 1 (@ Babe Ruth Field)- Fielding and Position Play- 9am to 11:30am

                                        Session 2 (@ FHS Batting Cage)- Hitting-1:00pm-3:30pm

3. Any parent interested in being part of the Booster Club for Athletics should contact Coach McCormick. This is a great way to show your support for all of our athletic teams and help to make athletics here at Fayetteville Middle School and Fayetteville High School a success.
